    A few small wins to report, was a very quiet end to april and a quiet week so far. $60 in Coles gift cards from the OMO comp, a second Cadbury pack $30, Mothers day book pack $44, Metalica CD $30 and family pass to dora the explorer live show $25. Happy Comping all!

      That would have to be an $11,400 holiday to Queenstown NZ it included accom for 5nights at the 5star resort the Rees, flights, transfers, lesson with head chef, 6 course degustation menu, wine and local produce tastings, 4 course meal served in our apartment and so much more!! I won it in early December last year not even a month after starting comping and we took it in February this year was simply devine!!! The second best was a travel voucher for $2500 and a Nokia Navigator phone, we used the voucher to go to Vanuatu it covered everything, we took that one in February as well…

      Hi it took me about 6 months to win my first and that’s my only one. i have now been comping for around 8 months, but it’s all the fun of it, just hang in there, one win is better than none.

    Can anyone help me out with femail surveys? I tried to enter the guess hand bag and some other surveys on that site but I cant get to the survey Im not sure what I am doing wrong. I have tried several times and on different days The comp finishes today but I would love to no for future surveys. Thanx and good luck to all

      Hi, I have done Femail surveys in the past with no problems. I went to the site today to help check for you, but all the surveys were closed. Usually I just follow the links to enter on the screen and get through with no issues. The Guess survey is closed but if you are quick and lucky go directly to the Guess website and there is a competition to win a beautiful Guess Handbag that is similar to the one on Femail (I personally think the Guess website one is nicer!)         Thanks very much for your replys and support its very nice of you all. Dont be shy get out there and talk to people it makes things so much easier and i like to think its good comping karma if you can help someone out to :) For WOLS the best advice is to read the question and try and work out what the judges want to hear, sometimes its the strangest of things lol.
        Big prizes are great, but its the small ones that fill in all the gaps, Ive well and truly had my share of the big ones but im keeping my fingers and toes crossed for a car!
        Yep definatly love checking the mail box and get excited when I see any kind of postal truck lol, its kind of sad that i can pick out a mail truck and couriers ect

    I started entering comps about a year ago and had some small wins then couldnt be bothered so stopped. I have just started up again (as of last week) and have just won a great CBeebies prize (97.3 FM) for my family worth $220!!!     When comps ask for date of birth, I wonder if I’m immediately disqualified as being too old (late sixties). Has any “old” person won anything?

      Hi Gamster, I always have that feeling of dread when asked for DOB too!  I am younger but still classed as middleaged and have won some minor prizes.  Promoters must also realise that “old” people buy “young” people goods for own use or as presents etc.  I enter a lot of comps for my family so cover many age groups.  Fingers crossed that promoters don’t get blind sighted by age demographics or they’re missing out on my shopoholic dollars.

        You have asked me this before and I have answered before, Im constantly WINNING there fore I post!!! I enter a LOT of compeitions and WIN a few and there fore can post… I have also said before that I am a member of other sites than just this one… Its really not hard to do, its a great hobby and I appreciate all wins that come my way big or small- its a hobby that needs work though…

    My recent wins are lots of double passes to the movies, Class of the Titans, Remember Me, Dear John, Alice in Wonderland, Seperation City!  DVD’s Case 39, and Hi 5 surprise and a CSR cookbook.
     
    Bigger wins are hair straightner value $89, a Zu shoe pack $200, and an instant win of mens boardies value $100.
     
    I had a good run where I won a prize every day for 2 weeks (excluding the weekends)!  Was great.

        No! definately not rigged, just need more time for your luck to turn. If you keep at it the wins will no doubt come to you. Have a break and maybe regroup and return.     Had a wonderful WEM this afternoon from the herald sun, I was the major prize winner in the Drop Dead Gorgeous comp, I won an exclusive ghost tour for 5 at Rippon Lea Estates, a dvd pack and a abc3 pencil case.     I was just curious, when it comes to wins, especially for those who win alot, are there many prizes where you don’t get confirmation via email or phone calls and prizes just appear on your doorstep or do you tend to get confirmation first? Been comping since January, have only won 2 very small prizes (less than $20 value), but i’m going to keep going and hoping the wins will come in soon!

      Probably 80% of wins just show up and your not notified and it doesnt matter if its a big value, I had a holiday voucher worth $2500 and mobile worth $600 just rock up one day from Virgin had no idea I’d won. Also it pays to keep in mind that promoters are very slow in drawing comps, it can take anywhere to 6weeks for a comp to end untill winners are notified or they just rock up- it also pays to look in the Australian’s public notices where winners are announced on a daily basis (availble online) Hope that helps answer some questions.

      Yeah, there are quite a few times you may not get confirmation of a win and the prize just shows up!  Another way I like to check if I have won anything is by google search your initial with your surname and then winner eg A Smith winner, I have found my name on a few winners lists this way!

    Hi everyone.
    I have only just started to get into online competitions. I think there lots of fun if you actually win stuff. I see a lot of you saying that you get multiple things a week and I was very surprised. I have ented a total of 32 competitions in the last two days. Is that enough to actually win anything? Please comment. I would love some tips and I would also love to know how manny competitions a week I should enter.

      You could enter one and win on the first one or you can enter 100 and not have a single win- theres really no magical number, obviously the more you enter the more chances you have. That being said you have to be smart about what you enter i.e look for ones that require effort!
      Two days really isint long enough, it can take up to six weeks from the time the comp ends til its drawn and winners are notified or receive the prize- just keep at it!

    My last comping win was about a month ago, a Bras N Things gift voucher. I was so excited when I opened the envelope, it made my week!
    No wins since and was starting to get disheartened again, until I read the message board. So exciting to hear about everyones wins and especially buoyed by all the advice and encouragement that has been posted lately. Thank you to all the WFS compers who regularly take the time to share hints and tips and give encouragement to others – you know who you are, and you guys rock.       Hi Kerry,
      Don’t get disheartened your luck WILL turn very soon. Keep entering lots of comps and try the 25 words or less these are really rewarding and have some great winning prizes. I recently have reassessed my wording format and went back to basics and rethought about what the judges were trying to convey to the comsumers and have had some great results this month. Yes, it is hard work but you must remember that the judges are trying to choose a winner that best understands, appreciates and represents their marketing product in the best light. If you ever have a brain freeze and go blank, keep it Short, Sweet and Simple.

    Just had a WEM from Ralph for an Ultimate Fighter Fan pack which includes ultimate UFC DVD collection and the latest tech pack from Logitech including a Harmony One Remote Control, Z520 Surround Speaker System and S125i iPod Speaker. Total Value $375, gotta love those WOL wins. Very happy with this win :)

          Thanks! I have a BA in journalism and politics so my writing skills probably do help a smidge…. but theres really no tricks to it, it all comes down to what a particular judge is after certain promoters looks for different things- it really comes down to knowing promoters and what they want you to get from there product. Read the tips on this site there are some good rules to follow. Dont give up and Im a strong believer in comping karma as well- best of luck:)

    I won the Fame Billboard comp, with 97.3FM, had the photo shoot today was heaps of fun!  I aslo win $1000 and 2 VIP Fame musical tickets which includes drinks, backstage tour and program!  My billboard will be up on the gold coast for one month, so cant wait to take the kids to see it!
