      I’ve been entering those three sites for around 7 months and have yet to win anything and don’t get any spam from them either.
       
      December was a dry month for me – not even a freebee! So sad. :)

    Hi, everyone I have been comping for years and have won small prizes every now and then with friends and family saying it’s a waste of time but when i won a holiday for 4 to queensland including airfares, accomodation and entry to all theme park’s i was the envy of them all. Keep comping it can happen.

    I only started entering comps just over 2 weeks ago. ( I mean seriously, I entered the occassional one here and there) So far I have won a $1000 Travel voucher and a portable blu ray/dvd player. Going to definitely keep entering competitions. So far so good!

      It depends on what/where you won it, if it an e-mail or a facebook message. there is lots of gift card scams going on at the moment. either way, have a look at your winning notification, it should tell you how to claim your prize or you may be yet to receive an e-mail or facebook message. if they ask for any personal details like your credit card number  then its obviously a scam. also think back…did you actually enter any competitions to win that prize? if not, its most likley a scam

    Out of curiosity, are there any professional compers on this site? or would they only be on Lottos?
    Also, what actually classifies as a professional comper as in how many hours spent per day entering?

      i really doubt theres a time limit to define profesional compers, they are just people who know hoe the game works and who enter to wein and who win often. people all enter comps based on how much time they can afford to use/waste. it could be 1 hour of comping a day or 7…it doesnt really matter how often or how much time is spent on it, it’s really more about those who know what kind of answers would be good or how much of a chance they have at winning soemthing and if they have a lot of comping friends to help them win also.

      i think you mean “won” :)
      generally they will notify you through an e-mail, by calling you or as a message on facebook or another social networking site. always read the terms and conditions before entering as that will give you all the details like hopw the winners are notified. also on facebook soem competitions will not send you a message, rather post it on there wall and it can get lost of you dont always check your posts as facebook doesnt notify you unless your name is actually tagged in it.

      Click on the terms and conditions before entering the comp and it will say there how winner will be notified. Usually phone or e-mail.

    Hi there, has anyone here ever won something by entering a competition over and over hundreds of times every single day? (A comp that allows unlimited entries of course)…
    I’m no good at coming up with 25 WOL answers so I feel like this is my only chance of getting anywhere…
     
    I’ve been entering every competition I can find every day for the last 3 weeks FLAT OUT.
    A minimum of 3 hours straight each day.
    How often do you guys enter and win?

      I’ve only been entering comps full on for the past 12months & I’ve won over $90,000 worth of prizes! My first BIG win was a world trip worth $70,000 & I won that only 7months into comping. I enjoy entering my 25words or less comps the most although I’ve only just won my 2nd prize from a word entry (a $10,000 V8 experience) so it’s well worth entering them even IF you think you aren’t that good with words…..something good may come out of it unexpectedly…you just never know what they are looking for in an answer so have a go you’ve got nothing to lose!
      I personally have never sat for hours entering a comp over & over again for a random draw but I have won random draws before for concert tickets & small prizes with only one entry submitted so that’s proof there it’s the luck of the draw!
      I also browse facebook for comps, you’ll see on the left handside tab on facebook where the adds come up they advertise comps/promotions there too. I also enter comps that have several prizes up for grabs for more of a chance to win something. 
      I try & enter atleast 5 comps a day, sometimes I enter more…depends on how many I find that I want to enter at the time. Just keep being persistant & you’ll eventually win. It was 7months before I won something but it was well worth the wait.

      Basically the more you enter the more chances you have, but you have to understand that many other people will do the same thing, i’ve won one thing from entering about 18 times on a Facebook competition but then enter over 100 times for others and dont win, if you have the time you may as well especially if 25 wol isnt your type of comp, but it’s still going to be a game of chance and luck, so no matter hoe mnay times you enter, it wont guarentee a win

      If there are unlimited entries you can be sure others have done the same thing and thus your chances are the same as theirs.
       
      I started entering comps nearly eight months ago and have entered a total of 5797 times. So far I have won around three dozen DVDs, ten books, 30 double cinema tickets and about a dozen assorted small items, but nothing big like an ipad, etc.
       
      Just keep on plugging away and the wins will come to you.

      Congrats, personally i think Letshop competitions are getting harder to win as so mnay people enter, you need to be careful with photography comps though, generally the price dosnt really include much and you could end up having to pay extra for things like framing or different types of portraits, if there giving away 5 a weeek it doesnt sound too promising but its still a nice win

    Over the last 8 couple of weeks, have won a bunch of DVDs and TV Boxsets, and a couple of sets of free movie tickets. Got a call last week for the biggest win to date – 4 platinum tickets to see Stevie Nicks when she tours later this year, plus her new CD and a tour poster. Absolutely stoked!

      It depends on what the T&C say. Although sometimes you have to go back to the original webpage to check the winners list, most times they send you an email – good luck.

    Well after many small prizes I finally won a big one and seriously the adrenalin rush could not be better!       Those people don’t exist. And if they do they are just very lucky. I won about $4000 worth in the first 3 or 4 months comping, then only a few hundred since, and thats entering every comp around.

      I spent too much time reading newspapers from around the world to avoid boredom. I now spend the same time entering competitions and winning books, CDs, DVDs, vouchers for all sorts of things and movie tickets. But making a living? I think if that was my aim, I’d go back to the workforce and ‘enjoy’ the traffic hassles, the worries about getting laid off, the time away from home and the garden and all the other ‘benefits’ of having to go to work!
       
      I look at this as an enjoyable hobby that has significant benefits.

    Hi everyone. I’ve been entering comps for about a year! I havn’t one one single competition! Im starting to loose hope :( Im reading lots of people are winning regually (like 2 times a week!) and I was wondering approxametly how manny comps do u have to enter to get those types results?? im entering about 20 a day and I’m pretty sure I’m just unlucky hahaha. ohh well. Any tips or good sites that u guys could share??

      Hello, i started comping a few years ago and had some luck back then and am going through a pretty good winning streak right now, almost averaging at least 1 win a day and on some days 3-4 things and i enter on average around the same number of comps daily. my advice is to find competitions your good at it, could be random draws if you dont have much time, 25 words or less or ones which i prefer or ones that generally will be harder to win but easy if you meet the requirments like can upload a video entry or have lots of freinds to vote for you. i use competition sites like these but also find heaps of comps on facebook and other social networking sites. i would aslo say “like” all your favourite brands and check out there website, most websites from brands also run competitions, ones like Maybeline and Revlon have them monthly and there are also many smaller things like movie tickets to be won, especially on facebook and twitter also. also use google to find other comp sites and comps, if you see soemthing on tv, could be anything like a ticket for a new movie comming out to a certain car or even a washig machine, google it plus words like competion or win or giveaway and ‘australia”..things like the current year and month can help too and see if theres a competition to win it, i used to enter for absolutley anything but am sick or spending over 6 hours a day on the internet so now try to enter ones i would actally like to win. also competitions are not limited to the internet, magazines till hold mail in entry forms for comps, you can find ones in places like safeway where a urchase is requires, on the label of a product or even on the tv and colouring in comps as well…they are everywere! dont give up, it takes a lot of patience and practice! hope this was a bit helpful :)

      this site only lists competition to enter, its not the website actually offering them, just a place to find ones to eenter on other sites, as for survey comps, pretty much all of them require you to regester with them and provide information about yourself, then usually for regestering you go in a ranbdom draw to win, but read the websites terms and conditions for details

      hi Karlz87, every comp is different which is why its extreemly impotant to read the terms and use for each one. some will have a deadline which you could have already missed and not know it or you could even end up disqualifying yourself somehow. as for how you get notified, it depends on what particular method they use for the comp, they might phone you, e-mail you or send you a letter in the mail notifying you first, others just send the prize out with little or no prior notification, if its a facebook comp you might get one in your facebook messages or ‘other” folder in facebook messges or an e-mail, most people e-mail these days though

      Find out what your strong points are, if your good at 25 word oe less quetions, enter them. certain comps are only available to people with smartphones, facebook, twitter, internet, ect and there are many different ways to win if you dont have a lot of time go for ones were you just have to submit your details to be in the draw, otherwise theres comps that are usually about you being lucky enough to find something thats first in first served at the right time. find all your favourite brands of everything and look at teir websites and most have comps. remember that it can take a lot of patience and time and trying before winning, some people win often, some dont, so unless you want to make a hobby out of it, just enter occasionally and look at how previous people won a comp, then just get ideas from that

      Hellome, you don’t mention how long you have been entering (and not winning). On June 12 I posted that I’d entered competitions  1561 times over 35 days and won a couple of DVDs and books. In total I have now entered 3120 times and have won over a dozen DVDs, several more books, heaps of freebies and I’m still looking for an Ipad etc. You just have to keep on going on and being persistant and consistant.
      And I agree with those that keep looking for that little white van – fun isn’t it! :)

      Hi Lilbluebird, this webite only lists competitons you can enter, all the competitions are from other websites and are not offered by this site itself. to enter the comp you just click on the picture of it, it will then pop up in a new window and you will also have the page remaining with the competition you were looking at. then to enter the comp just read that particular websites terms and conditions to enter coorrectly, hope this was helpful :)

    I love comping! This is my first entry but I have been on this site and comping for 5 months now and in that time I have won 48 prizes (at least 2 a week)! They are just small things, dvds, cds, LOTS of movie tickets, tickets to shows, converse shoes and a perri cardin luiggage bag but I love it and feel a big one is coming! My tip - keep a list of the things you have won to keep you motivated because it does take some time and effort. :)

    I didn’t bother to read the fine print in the Your Voice competition; I just saw the flag that said open to Australians and joined. I filled in every survey they sent and all went well until I tried to cash in my points – no go, it’s only for New Zealanders – I feel Ansetted!

      Thanks for the comment, just checked the T&C’s of the competition and it says only open to Australian residents.  You can find it here: http://www.yourvoice.com.au/OW/index.aspx?chapterid=12901&filterid=2382 . Not sure about there rewards system, though on their FAQs they say only open to Australian residents.

        Thanks for the reply….. this is what I think has happened. Somehow or other, when I clicked the link Webshop on the Australian version of Your Voice I have been transfered to the NZ version, which looks identical. Checking out the shopping vouchers, I clicked for my rewards and this came up…. ‘Sorry, we are unable to process your claim. For more assistance, please, contact the helpdesk, using the error code 53322.3′ I then look at the FAQ this came up……Answer: No, unfortunately membership of this online panel is open only to New Zealand residents. It seems my email address and password opens both versions and the only way to tell the difference is when you try to claim your rewards. Interesting eh! Apart from that its a good survey place.

      this sirte is NOT the comps your entering, it  only LISTS them, to enter the comps listed you need to click on the picture which will open it in a new window, from there you will get instructions how o enter the comp from the websie offering it

      it will generally have a box that reads START SURVEY NOW or similar and after the series of questions a THAKYOU will generally appear at the completion. Hope this helps. Just read everything and follow the prompts. good luck!

    Been at it 35 days and have entered a total of 1561 times (numerous multiple entries, where allowed). So far I’ve won 2 DVDs, although the majority of comps don’t close for another 7 days or more. It’s fun and sometimes interesting!

      Good for you, often the multiple enteries are not necessary like on girl.com.au and femail.com.au, I’ve entered those only one entry per competition and still won. Be aware that a lot of comps select winners based on email address (even supposed 25 WOL comps) so if you are entering the same email address again and again it’s not giving you any advantage. Also anything that requires Facebook votes or something like that, unless you are 14 and have 5000 facebook pals don’t expect to win those!

          It’s not the ’sort’ of email address you use, it’s the frequency that you use the same one. So if you enter a draw 10 times with the exact same email address, you might think, brilliant I’ve 10 enteries, I’m saying, maybe not, you probably have 1 entry based on the key field of your email address. If you want 10 entries use 10 different email addresses. But personally I say just enter once give it your best shot and move on….

            That nice man with the white van has just been and delivered another 2 DVDs and a book ‘Dog Logic’. The latter was a runner up prize to a huge amount of dog food. The 25 word or less comp asked about ones dog. I wrote i didn’t have one and I didn’t want 1st prize; my cats wanted to psych out the dog up the road and could do with the book – comps are sooooo much fun.

    My question is: How long did it take you to start winning?
    I have read some people have not won anything and others have won straight away. I am quite dedicated and have heaps of time at the moment.

      Make sure you download and install ROBOFORM it will save you hours in entering competitions…Autofills your details into the columns.
      I win something every week but I enter every competition too.

      the thing is you just never know, you could win tomorrow, you could win in a month, a year or even never. it really depends on the types of comps (25 words or less have reat odds if you can give great answers) free to enter theres a much less chance of randomly being picked, ect…so you just never know…go for comps that have lots of prizes on offer as well, and always read the terms and conditions

      1. enter comps for small things as well as the holidays, cars ect. The CD or movie ticket comp attract less entrants thus increasing your chances!
      2. Apart from this awesome site, check out another free comp site Australian Competition Club.
      3. Some websites such as music guide australia have several comps going at once, enter all of them.
      4. Lots of websites have comps, just go to your local radio stations, favourite clothing label (Billabong ect) or whatever and find the competition link.

      if your strapped for time, enter comps that you would like to win, rather than everything. determine what your good at, if its not 25 word or less comps, try free to enter ones that just ask for details, give everything a go at least once, try looking for different comps from brands or places not many people know about, the more prizes the better your chances and ALWAYS read the terms and conditions

    wow i think i just had my first win! got an email from lets shop saying that i won a double make over and photoshoot valued at $450. $250 towards the makeover for the shoot and $200 towards prints, which i thought sounded awesome until i looked at the website and there packages start at $1000. so might give it a miss. but it has encouraged me to keep entering!

      mayeb try your luck at facebook competitions, some require you to be there at the right time, however there are some great ones on there and they cn be easier to win, especially ones for free movie tickets!

      unfortunantly, sometimes there were just people with better answers, even if your was great. ive won a couple but then theres been times wheni wrote an great answer i though would win for sure and it didnt…you just have to keep trying and even try to adapt your entry more to what the judges might be looking for, also read the terms of use and make sure your not disqualifing yourself!

    oh nearly forgot…..need everyones opinion on this …PLEASE! A year or so ago i registered with ‘mystery shopper.com.au” I got one assignment, did it and got $50…not bad. Anyway i didn’t get any more assignments and the other day i logged in and it said i can’t get any more until i send a copy of 2 id’s – drivers license, letter from employer, medicare etc. Either by emailing a copy, or by post. Now my question is….do you think it is safe to send a copy of these personla details to someone you’re not 100% sure of? I will not send them until i get some feedback from u guys!  :)   What do you think? Is anyone else with mystery shopper or have more info on it?

      I do assignments for them all the time, I had to provide those things before I even got one assignment and once I did I’ve done heaps. The assignments are easy and they pay promptly, hope that helps!

      reply back and ask why they need those details. to me personally it sounds a bit dodgy. the only time someone would need drivers license information if if you won a car or similar, and your medicare details is also not soemthing that many respected places ask for. me personally i wouldnt send them any of thsoe details, even if they reply back with a seeminly good answer, you cant be too carefull nowdays and there are so mnay websites out there waiting to grab your deatils and scam you, or pass them onto soemone who will

      Hard to say 10 years ago i would of said yeah send it, nowadays id be a bit hesitant.   Me personally wouldn’t but im a bit paranoid.   Goodluck with it maybe you could ring them and ask why? if you speak to an actual person and confirm its legit then that may help you decide.

    Hey everyone! Well had loads of movie ticket wins this week – great for school hols! Won a double pass from Dominoes to see ‘Paul’, a family pass and merchandise pack for “Mars Needs Moms”. I actually told my son he’d won it as he always enters the ‘Woolworths’ Easter colouring comp and never wins so i told him they had rang whilst he was at school and that the pack was his prize – he was thrilled so it was worth the little “fib”!!! :) Also both my hubby and I won a double pass to see “Sucker punch”.
    Also had my hopes raised by the ‘van man’ this morning. The ‘van man’ was in the drive way – and being lazy school hol time we were all in our pjs! Anyway i ran to pull my tracky on top to be decent to answer the door – i was so excited to see what i’d won. Anyway the ‘van man’ opens the back of his van, waits a few minutes, closes it, gets back in the van and……..DRIVES AWAY :(   …..I look on the doorstep – no package left there,….. i look in the letter box and no package or”sorry i missed u note there????….NOTHING! What a disappointment! Don’t know what that was about but hope he didn’t ‘knick-off’ with my prize!!!!!! ????????????? LOL  :) or :(   – not sure!!

    Hi Everyone – I have just recently started entering competitions and am thrilled to have won a Blackberry phone through a Who competition in my first week! My question is..the letter came from WHO about 3 weeks ago now but still no Blackberry…how long is it polite to wait before I maybe contact them? Do prizes usually take awhile to arrive?       3 weeks seems a bit long once theyve contacted you to tell you you’ve won. i would double check and just ask them if its comming, as soemtimes unfortnantly it could have been lost in the post or delayed or they could have even forgot to send it.

    i had heaps of fantastic smaller wins last year including major prizes of a $30,000 trip to sydney with mtv and $5000 trip to south australia that i gave to my family. this year hasnt been to great so far but cant complain as ive only just gotten back into comping after a few months off it.
    wins for this year so far are $15 westfield gift card, tickets to loreal fashion show and a $25 moxie pack, i aslo won tickets to an art show but never received them. oh well,

      it depends on what kind of comps you enter, 25 word or less ones take skill and usually wont have as many entries as ones were you just sign your details, so it can be easier to win skill based comps if you have a good answer. also soemtimes you might have a great answer but wont win because someone else had a better one, comping is really all about patience and entering as many as you can. its not soemthing you want to spend your whole life thinking about but you need to spend a while entering different ones for more chances to win soemthing.

    Hey everyone!! Thanx for your feedback. Well the good news is that i sent a polite email to mission super toys and within a couple of days they sent me an IN-SEASON FAMILY movie pass and a little apology note – so that was nice! My son was SO EXCITED to open HIS envelope – his 1st win!!!!!!
    Also won MORE movie tickets this week – double pass to ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ that one looks good.  Have been to the movies more in the last couple of years - since i’ve been entering competitions - than I EVER had in my life LOL!!! Seen some great ones lately – The Girl who Kicked the Hornetts Nest, Limitless, Unknown and even enjoyed RANGO! All for free.

    Have had a little time off comping while moving house, but had an awesome win just before we moved. I won an iPad! I couldn’t believe it, as this was the goal I had set myself for comping! Now that we have moved to a remote town, I’ve set the new goal of winning a coffee machine. There is no decent coffee in this town!!!
    Also saw my name on the winners list for femail.com.au. Not sure what I won, but hopefully it catches up with me through the mail redirection!

      You might want to contact femail.com.au directly to let them know ur change of address just in case bcoz depending on what it is & how it is delivered, some parcels are delivered straight to the address given & they are not notified of redirection details as it is a different delivery section than regular mail. (so I was told by australia post anyway when I recently moved!)

        Thanks. For starters my boyfriend wasn’t going to enter the comp so I’m glad that he changed his mind. We had to create a cocktail in a virtual bar then get people to vote for it for 5 months to stay in the top 50 to win a cocktail party worth over $1,000 for up to 10 people or a cheque for $1,180 IF you don’t live in the area that they can host the cocktail party so I won a cheque. My boyfriends entry just scraped in to the top 20 but needed to be in the top 10 to win the major prize, his entry made it in to the top 10…winning the major prize only thanks to the people that cheated to get votes & were disqualified. The top 10 cocktails were mixed, tasted & judged so I suppose his creativity had something to do with winning too bcoz his cocktail tasted the best! Anyway the trip is flying business class to Tokyo 3nights (think they are going to change Tokyo due to the unfortunate events they have experienced over there) Berlin 3nights, London 3nights, Paris 3nights, Montreal 4nights, Rio De Janeiro 4nights then Melbourne 3nights to bring us back to reality! You just need to be persistant with entering comps, I have entered many & only just strated winning a few but my boyfriends win is the ultimate win we thought we could only of dreamt of winning so you just never know!         Thanx…My boyfriend was at work when I found out he had won & that was a killer waiting for an hour until his work break to call him & tell him the news…so yes..waiting to go is going to be a killer! Am sooo excited to be going overseas for the very first time, it’s going to be amazing, unbelievable!

        Thank you very much. One of our destinations is Paris so I told my boyfriend that since I convinced him to enter the comp in the first place, would an eiffel tower proposal be included in our trip? LOL!  Even without the wishful proposal we’re definately going to have a wonderful  adventure together & make lots of treasured memories on our trip. A once in a lifetime experience!

    Well my son won a family pass through mission super toys to watch “Hop”. He was really excited when he got the email (he’s only 7)…but guess what…. it was for the preview session…. and the tickets turned up AFTER THE DATE of the preview???? Still haven’t broken the news to him yet as he was so excited. Doesn’t that suck  :(   :(   :(   !!!!…..Also just won a family pass to “Mars Needs Mom’s” so maybe that will cheer him up instead! :S

      That’s awful, I’ve given up hoping to get to see movies to be honest, especially those Preview Sessions. They are always in some awkward cinema midweek. Think I won some Seasame St prizes last week, saw it on the Website but never got an email. Hoping to get a prize soon. Cleaned out my house the other day, trying to sell stuff on ebay, ended up selling a season of ER which cost 40 bucks at the time for 0.99c …Totally spewing, might need to rethink ebay!

    Hey guys,
    So I was wondering… once you’ve won a competition with a company do you think they “black list” your name (so to speak) so as not to let you win again and to give other people a shot?
    I have won something from Channel 7 and Channel 10 competitions and my husband thinks I wouldn’t win through these guys again.
    Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks! And good luck everyone :)

      sometimes you need to check their terms of use and such, a couple of websites wont let you win anything for a few months after your first win to let other people have a chance, some might blacklist you and others wont say anything so you assume you can win more than once

      Well I’d like to think you wouldn’t be blacklisted, but it’s certainly possible! I’ve won a few prizes from the same websites before though,

      it can take time, you just need to be persistant, i was on a little roll last year then i didnt win anything for months and was a bit upset over it. just be patient, the more you enter the more chances you have to win and theres all kind of comps to enetr, 25 words or less, fill in your detail, facebook comps, ect

      I’ve only just recently won a few prizes & I talked my boyfriend into entering a comp I had entered & he won the major prize so maybe get ur partner to enter ur comps too for an extra chance, you never know, just like my partner…yours may have more luck too! Just be persistant & don’t give up, I nearly gave up & I would’ve missed out on winning the prizes I have won over the last few weeks so don’t think you are missing out now, think of what u will be missing out on IF u stop entering comps! Something will eventually come up as long as u don’t give up but nothing will ever come up IF u do give up! I wish you the Best of Luck & hope u have a nice win soon to keep u motivated & lift ur spirits! ;)

      Just keep entering as much as you can. Something will happen eventually. I was just like you, but then suddenly won a big prize at the start of this year, so it does pay off. :)
