The following are answers to some questions frequently asked by our visitors. These responses should help make some of the less obvious features of this site clearer.

Q. What is Win Free Stuff about?

Win Free Stuff lists the latest Australian Competitions all in the one location.  The site is free to use and is updated daily!

Q.  Are all the competitions open to Australians?

Yes, all the competitions are open to Australians.  Some competitions may be restricted to residents of a certain state, however this information should be reflected in the competition.

Q. I’m not Australian, can I enter these competitions?

A couple of the competitions may also be open to residents of the New Zealand, however for the most part you will need to be an Australian resident to enter the competitions.

Q. I’m from New Zealand, can I enter?

All competitions showing the New Zealand flag are open to residents from New Zealand.

Q. What is the cookies message about?

Some competitions including Featured Competitions will most likely not work if cookies are disabled on your machine.  Cookies are used on Win Free Stuff to let the destination site know that you came from Win Free Stuff.

Q. Who are running all these competitions?

The competitions are run by whoever is listed in the Competition’s Terms & Conditions as running them. Note the competitions on this site are not run by Win Free Stuff.

Q. Do I need to join to use Win Free Stuff?

No, you can access all competitions without joining, however you will need to join to use some tools on the site.

Q. What happens to my details when I join?

Your details will never be released to any third parties unless you expressly permit it.

Q. Why are competitions listed more than once on the site?

Competitions are displayed in many different ways on this site. If a competition lists multiple prizes that fall into more than one category, the competition may be listed on each relevant Prize page. Similarly, a competition may be displayed under different Competition Types and/or State pages if it fits. The purpose of this method is strictly to make it easier for you to locate the competitions that may interest you.

Q. How do I Submit A Competition?

Use the Submit A Competition button at the top of every page and complete all the fields.

Q. What is the Competition Counter?

The Competition Counter is the total of all the different competitions listed on the site.

Q. What order are the competitions displayed?

By default competitions are displayed with Featured Competitions listed first and then the rest of the competitions in that category listed by closing date.  This order can be modified at anytime by using the filter tool.

Q. What are Featured Competitions?

Featured Competitions are competitions run by supporters of the site.  They enable the site to be free.

Q. What are the Entered and Not Interested buttons?

These buttons enable you to keep track of which competitions you have Entered or have decided you are Not Interested in.  You will need to join the site to use these features.

Q. What is the Star Rating?

Each competition can be rated by members of Win Free Stuff.  The Star Rating is the average score  of  all these ratings.

Q. What are the filter options on the competition pages?

The filter option on the competition pages enables you to display competitions in a number of different ways depending on what you choose.  You can also use it to hide or show the competitions you have marked as Entered or Not Interested.

Q. What are the New Competitions on the home page?

These are the latest competitions to be added to Win Free Stuff.  You can click on the “View All” button to see these competitions displayed in detail.

Q. What are the Closing Competitions on the home page?

These are all the competitions that are about to close on Win Free Stuff.  You can click on the “View All” button to see these competitions displayed in detail.

Q. What are the Popular Competitions on the home page?

These are the most popular competitions on Win Free Stuff based on the number of clicks each competition gets over the last 2 weeks.  You can click on the “View All” button to see the 15 most popular competitions over the last 2 weeks, displayed in detail.

Q. What is the section Competition Sources?

This section is supplied as a useful resource to help fans of competitions to find Australian competitions.  It provides links to the competition pages of Australian sites that frequently list multiple competitions.

Q. What do I do if I find a mistake?

You can use the Broken Competition button on each competition to let us know if a competition’s link is not working.  Please note that if cookies are disabled on your machine then some competitions including Featured Competitions will most likely not work.  Cookies are used on Win Free Stuff to let the destination site know that you came from Win Free Stuff.  Allowing\disallowing cookies are contoled by your machine and not the Win Free Stuff.

Q. What is the Send To A Friend Tool?

The Send To A Friend Tool lets you send a competition you like to your friends.

Q. Why would I follow Win Free Stuff on Facebook or Twitter?

This lets you keep track of the latest competitions when you are not on Win Free Stuff.

Q. How do I tell if I won?

Since Win Free Stuff doesn’t run the competitions, we can’t tell you if you’ve won.  Other than being contacted by the people who ran the competition, you would need to revisit the site where you entered the competition and go to their winners page.
