Q. What do the stars mean?

The stars are an estimate made by "Win Free Stuff" of how hard it is to win a posted competition. It is based on a combination of the following:

• How widely known about the competition seems to be. (The more widely known a competition is, the more people are entering it).
• How difficult the competition is to enter. (If you have to do a real world task, buy something, or do anything beyond simply entering, less people will enter it).
• How long the competition runs for.
• How many prizes are in the prize pool. (It is easy to win if the prize pool contains 100 prizes for the 1st 100 correct entries.)

The stars represent the following:

• - Difficult To Win Prizes!
• - Not Easy To Win Prizes!
• - Average Chances To Win Prizes!
• - More Chances To Win Prizes!

This is by no means an exact science and the results are based on personal review and judgement. Other sites may come up with different opinions as to which competitions offer more chances to win. If a competition lists multiple prizes that fall into more than one category, the competition may be listed on each relevant Prize pages. Similarly, a competition may be displayed under different Competition Types and/or States pages if it fits. The purpose of this method is strictly to make it easier for you to locate the competitions that may interest you.
